The Mesolithic Age is a period of transition beween Paleothic and Neolithic times.

The substantial sites of Téviec and Hoedic, where many of the most ancient tombs and human skeletons of Brittany, are both presented at the museum. A reconstitution of one of the tombs is on display at the museum. They sites provide the first signs of sedentarisation in Europe.
